Denver TEDx Has A Lot To Say!
Last weekend’s TEDx Mile High “Ideas Unbridled” was a fantastic experience. Speakers included entrepreurs, scientists, professors, analysts, designers, musicians, and poets and covered topics from the polar vortex weakening to polling the over-all emotional well-being of the country using Twitter data points!
In addition to many fascinating speakers, the event featured cool interactive exhibits: a station with repurposed materials for arts and crafts projects, robotics engeneering table, and even a booth where you could make your own kimchi!
I was very excited to represent Bloomin, provider of the seeded paper TEDx name badges, especially because so many of the talks focused on local sustainability.
Out of 15 presenters, two received standing ovations from the entire audience. The two speakers to receive this honor were Eric Kornaki speaking about “place-based economies” as represented by his company Re:Vision and Teju Ravilochan, co-founder of Unreasonable Institute, discussing the ability of individuals and teams to overcome seemingly impossible issues.
It is so empowering to be surrounded by extraordinary people and exciting projects that are changing our world for the better! To view the talks, check the TEDx Mile High website. Hopefully they will be posted soon!
