B Corps (or Benefit Corporations) are for-profit companies who have adopted a new type of company structure which involves a legally binding commitment to solve social and environmental problems.

In a nutshell, Benefit Corporations are required to consider the impact of their decisions on shareholders and stakeholders equally. In this way, B Corpoperations actively seek to improve standards for company stakeholders including: workers, suppliers, community, customers and the environment. Additionally, each company hoping to become a B Corp must score at least at least 82 points on a rigorous impact assessment proctored by B Labs in order to become certified. Certified B Corporations meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Today, there are over 1,300 Certified B Corps around the globe, including companies like Patagonia, Ben & Jerries, and Etsy. We are proud to join them in the movement to redefine corporate success, so that eventually all business will become of benefit to the society and to the environment! Why Bloomin became a B Corp

Bloomin aims to be a driving force of change within the promotional products industry. Historically, the products making up the industry have been imported, unconsciously sourced “throw-away”  items. Bloomin believes seed paper will be the catalyst of change in this multi-billion dollar industry as other suppliers catch up with consumer demands for environmentally-friendly promotional products.

Bloomin intends to reduce paper waste, increase environmental awareness, and beautify the community by supplying hand-crafted seed paper to both end consumers and businesses. Bloomin seed paper is the ultimate solution to paper waste.

Why? Well, seed paper is just (if not more) valuable in “waste” form as in print form, so why would you ever throw it away? Seed paper is the perfect conversation starter for environmental education. Seed paper is an entiredly new type of product. As such, consumers need to be educated first about why it matters. In this way, seed paper can make an impact in conservation and sustainability education. As more people become aware of the existence of seed paper, Bloomin hopes to develop a new generation of consumers who cultivate and grow their “waste” instead of tossing it in the land fill. Seed the change you wish to see in the world!
