We like to celebrate Earth Day every day!

 In Our Community

Did you know Earth Day has been going strong for 44 years now? In fact, the first Earth Day celebration, actually led to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts?

Even though Earth Day 2014 has come and gone, we will continue working towards deeply engraining our environmental commitment into our culture, throughout the coming year. Currently Bloomin is undergoing evaluations for their consideration of B Corporation Certification. Bloomin seeks to be certified by the nonprofit B Lab and has met the initial rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corps are better companies – better for workers, better for communities and better for the environment. See a quick video about it below!

recycled material at bloominBloomin shows its commitment to our planet everyday with its own in-house recycling program. In fact most of the office waste created here at our Boulder facility gets repulped into 100% post-consumer plantable seed paper. All of our collateral print material and packaging is 100% recyclable and made from Post-Consumer Recycled material where possible. Even the clear packaging used in many of our products are made from recycled corn based plant material. In addition to manufacturing right here in Boulder, CO, our manufacturing facility houses one of the largest commercial solar systems (30 kilowatt) in Boulder County on the roof at our headquarters.

So, as you can see, here at Bloomin, we like to celebrate Earth Day every day! So keep the momentum going this spring and continue to love your mother Earth whenever and wherever you can. If you happen to be in Boulder, this Friday the 25th, Stop by our World HQ at 3080 Valmont from 3-7pm for some earthy fun and refreshments!
